Rooted CoMo (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an online local business directory serving the Columbia, Missouri community. We provide a platform connecting residents with local businesses across categories including home services, restaurants, fitness, and more.
These Terms govern your use of the Rooted CoMo website and all related services (“the Service”), along with our Privacy Policy, incorporated by reference.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a business account or submit content on Rooted CoMo. By using the Service, you represent you meet this age requirement and have legal authority to enter into these Terms. If registering on behalf of a business, you represent you have authority to bind that business.
Listing accuracy: If you create or claim a business listing, you are responsible for ensuring all information is accurate, current, and complete — including business name, address, phone, hours, services, and photos. Rooted CoMo reserves the right to edit, remove, or reject listings containing inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate information.
What you may not submit:
License you grant us: By submitting content (text, photos, logos, descriptions), you grant Rooted CoMo a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the Service for the purpose of operating and promoting the directory.
Listing plans: Rooted CoMo offers free and paid listing tiers billed monthly or annually as described on our Listing Plans page. You may cancel any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period with no refund for partial periods, unless required by law.

Rooted CoMo reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these terms or that we determine in our sole discretion are inappropriate, without notice.

The Rooted CoMo name, logo, website design, and original content created by our team are owned by Rooted CoMo and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
Business names, logos, and content submitted by business owners remain the property of their respective owners. We do not claim ownership of third-party trademarks or business content.
Rooted CoMo links to business websites, social media profiles, and other third-party resources. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for their content, privacy practices, or products. Visiting external links is at your own risk.
Transactions between you and any listed business are solely between you and that business. Rooted CoMo is not a party to any transaction and accepts no responsibility for the quality, safety, or outcome of services provided by listed businesses.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROOTED COMO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that business listings are accurate or up to date, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular business will meet your expectations. Always verify information directly with a business before making decisions.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ROOTED COMO AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Rooted CoMo in the three months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rooted CoMo and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your submission of content, or your violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account or listing at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may request account deletion at any time through our contact page.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in state or federal courts in Boone County, Missouri, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last Updated” date. If you have an active listing account, we will notify you by email. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
