Rooted CoMo’s newsletter

Rooted Weekly

One short email a week about Columbia: what’s happening, local news worth knowing, and one locally owned business you should meet. Free, from Rooted CoMo, Columbia’s local business directory. No chains, ever.

What’s in each issue

• This week in CoMo: a handful of dated events worth leaving the house for.
• Local news: two or three headlines that actually affect your week, with links to the source.
• Business spotlight: one locally owned Columbia business and what they do.

It takes about two minutes to read. If something is paid, it says Rooted Pick · Paid placement, so you always know.

Who’s behind it?

Rooted CoMo is Columbia’s local business directory, run by Michael Wuest here in Columbia with help from AI teammates. Hit reply on any issue and tell us about a local business we should know. We read every reply.

Tell a neighbor, get something local

Every subscriber gets a personal link (it’s in your welcome emails and at the bottom of every issue). When friends sign up with it and confirm their email:

• 3 friends: a Rooted Weekly sticker, mailed or ready for pickup at a local shop, plus a shout-out in an issue if you’d like one.
• 10 friends: a $10 gift card to a Rooted CoMo–listed local business of your choice.

The fine print: only new subscribers who confirm their email count. One reward per milestone per person. No signing yourself up. We may hold rewards for signups that look fake. Rewards depend on what’s available.
